Challenge & approach

There are so many advertising festivals that its a challenge to create the identity that would not only identify the festival but impress the professionals.

One of the key limitations of the project was the necessity to use the current logo. On the other hand, it focused the solution and made it as precise as possible. Our strategy was to create the identity that would be awarded at other advertising festivals – a smart way of promotion. Once the jury and the participants see the bold brand identity of the festival, they’ve never heard of they become interested to get to know more about it.

IDEA & NAME

The identity is created around the logo – white square. The idea is based on the classic computer game "the snake".

The square is a target for a snake moving on the black background. The white square illuminates the most important thing and focuses on the target, or object. The variation of the identity is achieved due to bizarre forms and the sizes of the snake hunting for the square. There are no boundaries for it, so it may flow from object to object, using any black surfaces.

Design

We used the dynamic slogan to reveal the mission of the festival and the identity idea.

Level/catch/bet/step/look/sign/head/follow up. Within the project we developed the brand identity guide, including the website design and social networks playbook.

And yes, it worked. The identity was awarded at 5 advertising festivals perfectly promoting the White Square.
